· Ceramic beads including Kazuri beads from Kenya and Raku-fired pendants made in the USA.

· Czech seed beads in sizes 6, 8, & 11; Czech bugle beads in #2 and 30mm.

· Miyuki beads: #11 Delicas #15 seed, #8 triangles, 4mm square and four sizes of Miyuki bugle beads.

· Brass, copper, sterling silver and gold-filled findings, beads and charms.

· Lead-free Pewter findings, beads and charms made in the USA.

Supplies

· Stringing materials: beading cable, silk, linen, leather, hemp, nymo, stretchy and more. Round wire in sterling, gold-filled, copper and colored copper.

· Tools: chain-nose, round-nose, flat-nose, and crimping pliers, cutters, reamers, needles, awls, bench blocks, chasing hammers and more.

· Books on beading, gemstones and other subjects; some Spanish language titles.

Other Stuff

· Tumbled stones, mineral specimens, crystals, fossils and more.

· Gemstone and shell cabochons.

· Cast-iron crosses.

· Hem brand incense and white-sage bundles.

· Jewelry designed and produced in-house.

Classes We Offer

Upcoming Classes for Spring 2012

February 25 – Basic Jewelry Design and Construction - $20.00 – Basic bead stringing on flexible beading cable with crimp beads. Also design concepts, trouble-shooting and fun! Finish a necklace and matching bracelet in one afternoon.

March 24 – Bead Links I - $40.00 – Beading on wire links with simple loop techniques; also how to make your own headpins, earwires, clasps and more.

April 28 – Basic Jewelry Design and Construction - $20.00 – see above.

May 26 – Bead Links II - $40.00 – Beading on wire links with wrapped loop techniques; also how to make your own headpins, earwires, clasps and more.

June 23 – Bead Knotting - $40.00 – The classic art of stringing beads on silk cord with a knot between each bead.

All classes are one Saturday from 1:00pm to 4-ish.

Fees include instruction and stringing materials but not beads: this is so that students may choose beads that they like, set their own budgets, or bring beads they already have.

Classes are limited to a maximum of four students so please sign up early to reserve your place. Come into the store or call 925-757-4752 to sign up for classes. Gee Jay’s cannot collect funds over the internet. You must be signed up and fees paid in order to hold a place.
